A rehearsal is a walkthrough, not a full performance. Nobody reads their vows.
- Where everyone stands and how they get there
- The processional order and pacing
- Cues for music, readings and any special elements
- Ring handoffs and who holds what
- The recessional
Most rehearsals take 30 to 60 minutes. If you'd like the officiant to attend, say so on the ceremony intake form — rehearsal attendance is quoted separately and is never assumed to be included.
