I believe getting married should be exciting, meaningful, and—most importantly—about the two people saying "I do." Whether you're planning a beautiful traditional ceremony, an intimate elopement, or you simply want to make it legal without all the extras, I'm here to make the process easy and memorable.

Based in Central Virginia, I work with couples throughout the region who want a professional, friendly, and stress-free wedding officiant experience. Big wedding, small wedding, or a quick "just make it legal" wedding—I'm here for all of it.

I love being part of the moment when two people officially begin their next chapter together. Sometimes that happens in front of a room full of family and friends. Other times, it's a simple, intimate moment with just the couple.

Came For The Cake was created to give couples options without judgment, unnecessary pressure, or the idea that a wedding has to look a certain way to be meaningful.

As an experienced Virginia Notary Public, business owner, and educator, I understand how important attention to detail, professionalism, communication, and reliability are—especially when important documents are involved.

I bring that same level of care to every wedding I perform. My goal is for you to know exactly what to expect, feel comfortable throughout the process, and actually enjoy the experience of getting married.

Authorization to perform marriages

I am authorized to perform marriage ceremonies in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Authorized through: Chesterfield, with statewide Virginia coverage.

Year authorized: 2022.

Couples are responsible for obtaining a valid Virginia marriage license before their wedding. After the marriage is performed, I complete the officiant's portion of the required marriage documentation and handle it in accordance with Virginia requirements.

Your wedding ceremony should feel like you.

I don't believe every couple needs the same ceremony, the same vows, or even the same type of wedding. Some couples have dreamed about their wedding day for years. Others are thinking, "We love each other. Can somebody just make this legal?"

I love both.

My approach is simple: listen to what you want, respect what matters to you, and create an experience that fits your relationship.

If you want something personal, sentimental, religious, traditional, lighthearted, or somewhere in between, we can build your ceremony around that. And if you don't want a ceremony at all? That's exactly why we offer our $150 paperwork wedding option.

There is no "right" way to get married. There is only the way that's right for the two of you.
